How to help

How You Can Help

We always need volunteers to help check stray cats for microchips, bringing cats into our care and with vet runs.

Or perhaps you would prefer to spend a few hours raising much needed funds to help the cats?

We have a list of events available that you can attend.  However we ask that you volunteer for a minimum of two hours.  Events are usually held at the weekend, local summer fayres or car boots.

We also keen for volunteers to help with knitting teddies or blankets or perhaps you make your own arts and craft that you could donate a few items for us to sell at events?

Or perhaps you are keen on social media, design or publicity?

There are plenty of opportunities to help.  Email us at mkcatrescue@gmail.com

We are always needing bric a brac and teddy bears to help with our fundraising activities such as tombola’s or raffles.

Any cat equipment such as food, litter, carriers, bedding etc would be greatly appreciated.

You can donate items that we need via our Amazon Wishlist:

Funds are always needed to cover basic food and litter bills, but often the biggest expense for any rescue centre is veterinary bills!

You can raise a free donation to our charity if you shop online via http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/mkcatrescue

Or you can make a one off or monthly donation via our donate button which can be found on our blog’s home page.

Ask your employer about payroll giving schemes such as Give As You Earn, operated by CAF (Charities Aid Foundation).

If you are a taxpayer don't forget Gift Aid, as that can make your donation worth a whopping 25% more to the charity at no extra cost to you - just ask the charity for a gift aid form to sign, or you can include a declaration in with your donation stating that you are a taxpayer, (declarations must include your full name and address, and be signed and dated
